Energy Audits

Sam Roose (Director at Roose Consulting) has conducted over 100 detailed energy audits, with many of these supported by EECA.

Criteria for applications: Presently open for Type 2 (detailed audits) to businesses spending $3M/year or more on energy in total and/or state-owned enterprises committed to the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP). Open for Type 3 (highly detailed sub-system audits) to organisations spending $500k+/year on natural gas.

Energy Transition Accelerator

Roose Consulting’s energy auditing expertise feeds into the development of carbon emissions reduction plans, or “Energy Transition Accelerators”. These identify, prioritise and plan significant, repeatable opportunities across large sites, building portfolios and campuses. We can help determine a plan appropriate to your organisation that includes attainable, justified, and well understood opportunities.

Criteria for applications: Presently open to businesses spending $3M/year or more on energy in total.  Other conditions may apply.

Feasibility Studies

Roose Consulting can help determine the energy system upgrade options that best fit your organisation by conducting feasibility studies. Often this involves determining the specific requirements of buildings/processes, addressing the practical implications of making the upgrade and comparing options in a financial sense. We are experienced at strengthening the business case for energy efficiency.

Criteria for applications: Presently open to businesses spending $1.5M/year or more on energy in total or more than $500k+/year on natural gas.

Monitoring and Targeting

Monitoring allows organisations to record, analyse and compare energy and carbon use. This helps towards establishing effective reporting and suitable reduction targets, and the appropriate use of metering. Roose Consulting have the energy industry know-how to provide reporting tailored to the requirements of your business.  We can help turn observations into opportunities and achieve improvements promptly.

Criteria for applications: Presently open to businesses spending $3M/year or more on energy in total.  The business must commit to a savings guarantee over time. Roose Consulting can assist with justifying a project on this basis and achieving the savings.

Energy Systems Optimisation

Our awareness of the energy and carbon technologies that already exist within buildings allows us to partner with the organisations that provide them, understand all benefits, confirm the suitability of control upgrades to your business and smooth the path to peak performance and savings.

Criteria for applications: Presently open to businesses spending $3M/year or more on energy in total.  The business must commit to a savings guarantee over time. Roose Consulting can assist with justifying a project on this basis and achieving the savings.

Walk-through Energy Assessment - Gas Users

Gas consumption comes with significant uncertainty over supply and pricing at present. EECA are funding walk-through audits to enable fuel supply and efficiency options to be assessed for reticulated gas users. These audits can help set up a pathway to energy system sustainability.

Criteria for applications: Presently open to non-public sector, non-local government organisations spending less than $1M/year or more on energy in total. Reticulated gas needs to be the main stationary thermal energy source.
