Energy modelling software predicts building performance.
In NZ, this can inform and improve Homestar / Greenstar / NABERSNZ ratings, and how a building performs compared to building energy codes and targets. In many other OECD countries, it is a basis for meeting building consent criteria such as emissions and comfort requirements.
We are highly experienced with using energy modelling to:
prepare buildings to meet energy and carbon goals / codes
address design issues economically (e.g. heat pump sizing)
ensure buildings are comfortable
justify investment in efficient design and better building performance.
Example experience:
Energy modelling / design advice project leader for:
several large rebuilds after the Christchurch Earthquakes
U.K. building designs looking to achieve resource consent
climates ranging from Russia to Saudi Arabia
applications such as offices, aged-care, hospitals, hotels, pools, warehouses and greenhouses.
Sam was trained as a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant (Simulation).
